Haruo Kawamura, Founding Partner and Representative Director (CEO)

Mr. Kawamura founded CAS Capital in March 2003, where he has since served as Representative Director. Prior to founding CAS Capital, Mr. Kawamura acted as Managing Director in investment banking of Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs in Tokyo. Prior to that, he worked for The Bank of Tokyo (Current MUFG Bank, Ltd.). Throughout his career of more than 20 years, he has been providing various financial services including M&A advisory, securities underwriting for corporate and financial institutions. Director of Japan Private Equity Association (2015-2022).
Part-time lecturer at Tokyo Institute of Technology (2002-2015).

Kenjiro Yamashita, Partner and Representative Director (Co-COO)

From July 2018 to December 2020, Mr. Yamashita was full-time Director of Decollte Corporation (Current Decollte Holdings Corporation) for further support of their growth. From October 2011 to February 2016, Mr. Yamashita was Director of MARKTEC Corporation and acted as CEO of MARKTEC’s Chinese operation to turn around its performance. Before joining CAS Capital, he worked at Askul and started up a new business of business process outsourcing, targeting large companies.
Prior to that, he worked at Boston Consulting Group and was in charge of various projects including strategic planning, marketing, new business development and alliances.
Prior to that he served in Japanese Ministry of Finance where he was assigned in taxation, international negotiation, and secretariat. Appointed as Partner in January 2015.

Susumu Uehara, Partner and Representative Director (Co-COO)

Prior to joining CAS Capital, Mr. Uehara worked for MBK Partners and Advent International, where he was engaged in support to mid-cap companies through private equity investments. Prior to that, he worked for Morgan Stanley where he was involved in financial advisory businesses such as M&A advisory and equity finance. Appointed as Partner in January 2020. MBA from INSEAD.

Hyoe Mizumachi, Partner and Representative Director (Co-COO)

Mr. Mizumachi is assigned as CEO of Community Medical Development Support Co., Ltd. (CMS) in May 2022, which provides management support to the Medical Corporation, KEIZANKAI. He is also assigned as CFO of SHINKOH CO., LTD. in February 2020 and since August 2020 as Representative CFO. Before joining CAS Capital, he worked at ACT-ONE Yamaichi CO., LTD. in April 2017 as CFO and was engaged in raising corporate value of the company. Prior to joining ACT-ONE Yamaichi CO., LTD., he was involved in organizing the regional revitalization funds with some regional banks in Nagano Pref. and SME Support, JAPAN. (Organization for Small & Medium Enterprises and Regional Innovation, JAPAN) and contributed much to the rehabilitation and improvement of the mid-small sized companies through hands on approach as the fund supervisor. Prior to that, he worked on various investment projects and products (loan, real estate and corporate) at the investment bank and firm. He started his career at Kanematsu Corporation where he worked on the real estate investment. Appointed as Partner in January 2023.

Nobuaki Matsumoto, Partner and Director

Mr. Matsumoto was President of SHINKO CO., LTD. from August 2020 to August 2023 for further support of their growth. Prior to joining CAS Capital, Mr. Matsumoto worked for ORIX Corporation where he worked in the sales department and finance department, and has been engaged in private equity investment business since 2005. He has investment experiences in apparel, restaurant chains, food manufacturers, global development support companies for automobile industry and environment related companies. In 2014-2018, he worked on improving corporate value as a full-time director of ARRK Corporation. Joined CAS Capital as Partner in July 2020. BA in Business Administration, University of Meiji.

Masato Okawara, Partner and Director

Prior to joining CAS Capital, Mr. Okawara worked for Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu LLC where he was engaged in the audit of the financial institutions, especially asset management companies and various funds and worked on protecting the fund investors through the fund audit. He also engaged in various advisory works for the asset management companies, International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) accounting advisory work for the financial institutions and regional revitalization advisory work. Joined CAS Capital as Director in August 2020. USCPA. Appointed as Partner in January 2024.

Satoshi Aoyama, Partner

Prior to joining CAS capital, Mr. Aoyama acted as Managing Director of Corporate Planning and Human Resource in a listed Japanese company, focusing on staffing and long-term care service. For ten years, he contributed to the growth of the company, making it one of the top 10 in the world staffing industry ranking, and the largest in the long-term care industry in Japan. He joined portfolio companies of CAS capital as management consultant in 2010. After that, He was assigned as the CEO of Care Plus Inc. and Staffplus Inc. Kazuyoshi Komiya, Outside Director, Founding member as Partner

Mr. Komiya is President of Komiya Consultants, where he provides management consulting, educational training and seminars to the client companies. Author of many books. Member of The Securities Analysts Association of Japan. Prior to founding Komiya Consultants, he was Director of Planning Section at Japan Welfare Service (presently Saint Care Holdings) in charge of promoting welfare business and management consulting of medium-sized corporations. Before that, he was international business consultant at Okamoto Associates as Director. He started his career at The Bank of Tokyo (Current MUFG Bank, Ltd.). where he was involved in strategic management information system as well as M&A. MBA from Tuck School of Business, Dartmouth.

Yasuo Ryoki, Outside Director

Mr. Ryoki joined Osaka Gas Co., Ltd. in 1979 and served various positions such as General Manager, Energy Resources Business Unit, President and Representative Director, Osaka Gas Chemicals Co., Ltd., Head, Industrial and Commercial Marketing Business Unit. Mr.Ryoki was appointed Senior Executive Officer of Osaka Gas Co., Ltd. in 2012 and appointed Member of the Board in 2013. In 2016, he became Chairman of Osaka Gas Co., Ltd. Australia Pty Ltd.
During his 40years in Osaka Gas Co., Ltd., Mr. Ryoki has engaged in various businesses, such as gas resources procurement, upstream and downstream investment in foreign countries, industrial, commercial and residential sales, corporate planning, capital market finance, new business development, industrial relations and subsidiary management.

Yosuke Matsushima, Auditor

Mr. Matsushima has experience in strategic consulting at AT.kearney and Mckinsey & Company, and was involved in private equity investments at MKS Partners Inc. and Marunouchi Capital Co. He then led a corporate turnaround as Executive Vice President COO at Noritsu Koki Co.,Ltd. and became Representative Director at JMDC, Inc. in 2018, where he listed the company on the TSE Prime Market.BA in law, Doshisha University.

Ryuko Nagami, Hononary Partner

Mr. Nagami was assigned as CEO of FOOD PLUS HLDGS from June 2020 to February 2024.
Prior to joining CAS Capital, Mr. Nagami worked for MKS Partners Limited where he was involved in enhancing value of portfolio companies through his career. Prior to that, he worked at Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, providing audit, consulting and financial advisory services including M&A advisory. Appointed as Partner in January 2013. Yoshiki Hirano

Mr. Hirano was as Director of ACT-ONE Yamaichi CO., LTD. from July 2018 to October 2020. Prior to that, he was Corporate Officer of Care Plus Co.,Ltd. from April 2017. From January 2014 to February 2016, he was Director of MARKTEC Corporation in charge of South East Asia Operation. Before joining CAS Capital, he was General Manager of Misumi Corporation in charge of mold components business with global P&L responsibility. He expanded the business especially in China and Asia market as well as improved the profitability remarkably. Prior to Misumi, he worked at NEC Corporation and its subsidiaries for 24 years in charge of various international business in Asia and USA including corporate strategic development, fund raising, M&A, subsidiary management, sales and marketing. Throughout his carrier, his leadership was key to successful wins totaling more than US$2B in major, multi-year global projects. BA in literature, Sophia University, Tokyo.

Keisuke Mori

At Nomura Research Institute, Ltd., Mr. Mori engaged in various consulting projects, including trend analysis, growth strategy formulation, business plan formulation, support for oversea marketing and execution of partnering, construction of management structure, design of organization, operations and human resources requirements. In addition, he developed new customer accounts for consulting by proposing proprietary growth potential of each company in the manufacturing industry. Master’s degree in engineering department of the University of Tokyo.

Takeshi Hirami

Prior to joining CAS Capital, Mr. Hirami served as a board member of Takumiya Holdings and the representative director of its two subsidiary companies. Prior to that, he joined Kotobuki Spirits Co., Ltd. and took the position of executive director and head of Sales Division of KCC Co., Ltd., which operates LeTAO, the group’s greatest brand, and the representative director of its overseas subsidiary, focusing on the value improvement of its domestic brands and new business development. Before that, Mr. Hirami was involved in store management of Nakau and Sukiya and also engaged in corporate management such as new product development, store and system developments at Nakau Co., Ltd. Hirohito Nakata

Prior to joining to CAS Capital, Mr. Nakata worked for Nippon Mirai Capital, where he was focused on supporting mid-small cap companies through private equity investments. Prior to that, he worked for Mitsubishi Corporation, where he was in charge of investments in the upstream of natural gas and in LNG plants. Prior to that, he worked for Citigroup Global Markets Japan, where he was engaged in investment banking such as M&A advisory and equity/debt underwriting. BA in Physics and Master in Economics, Kyoto University.

Takuma Matsuishi, Senior Associate

After graduating from university, Mr. Matsuishi worked for RECOF Corporation and PwC Advisory LLC, and was engaged mainly in M&A advisory services in various sectors such as retail, logistics, advertising, automotive parts and chemical industry. Hiroaki Iyota, Senior Associate

Prior to joining CAS Capital, Mr. Iyota worked for SMBC Nikko Securities Inc. where he was involved in financial advisory businesses such as M&A advisory and equity finance mainly for companies in healthcare and consumer industries. Prior to that, he worked at Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation where he was engaged in supporting growth of mid-sized companies by developing opportunities for M&A and financing deals and supporting the execution. Naoki Kono, Associate

Prior to joining CAS Capital, Mr. Kono worked for Dream Incubator Inc., where he was involved in growth strategy consulting services including business creation and M&A advisory. Prior to that, he worked at Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, providing audit and accounting advisory services mainly for financial institutions. BA in Commerce and Management, and MBA from Hitotsubashi University.

Mr. Tsubakimoto joined Shinko Co., Ltd. in 2020, and appointed as CEO as of Sep. 2023. Prior to that, he worked at IMURAYA Group CO., LTD., where he was in charge of planning the import/export of food products and overseas local manufacturing and sales business. Before that, he worked at Sumitomo Corporation, where he was engaged in distribution sales, trading and marketing of steel products and equipment for domestic and international energy upstream development, power generation, and construction and civil engineering industries in the sales division from 2005 to 2017. Yusuke Yamada

Mr. Yamada is Partner of Reson Partners Tax Accountants and Reson Partners FAS. Prior to that he worked at Chubu Electric Power, KPMG AZSA LLP, as well as local accounting firms in Singapore and Hong Kong where he was experienced in international M&A business.
